The Legacy Team are members of the Dream Team of The Church who serve our church with the Gift of Giving. The Apostle Paul wrote some powerful words, more than 2,000 years ago, in his letter to the Roman Christians. He declared: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” (Romans 12:6-8)
The Legacy Team are the ones who tangibly live out Paul’s words. This Team was created to give people the opportunity to invest their resources and wealth into speeding the vision and long-term goals of The Church, helping us to create the legacy that we believe God is calling us to create. Each member of the Legacy Team prayerfully commits to give over and above their tithes, as to impact eternity for generations to come—to leave a legacy.
The Legacy is an outlet for those who are called and equipped to finance the Kingdom of God and to leave a legacy. This team invests in strategic projects in our church, city, state, and nation and in opportunities all around the world. The Legacy Builders Team focuses on projects in four areas:
The Church (ministry and building projects)
Local missions efforts (cities across the State of Texas)
National missions efforts (launching and strengthening local churches)
International missions efforts (church planting and leadership development)
This Team is for anyone who feels called to give over and above their tithe. There is no specific amount because we consider any amount valuable and precious. As a church we are not built on the gifts and talents of a few, but on the sacrifices of many.
